Eagle Mountain Resort
The Eagle Mountain Resort is a fictional resort destination designed as part of a group project for the Marketing in Hospitality course at Valencia College. The entire resort includes the Eagle Mountain Adventure Park, the Eagle Mountain Lodge Resort, and an exciting dinning district. This unique resort allows families the opportunity to experience the excitement and thrills of a theme park, with the spectacular views from the top of Eagle Mountain. In addition, those staying at the Eagle Mountain Lodge Resort get exclusive access to The Eagle’s Nest, a sky-high restaurant and lounge at the summit of Eagle Mountain.
As part of this class project, we were tasked with developing a presentation explaining and marketing our “destination”. With background in Adobe Creative Suite, I was selected to be the graphic designer for the project. Below are a few samples of work I created for this project.
|Marketing in Hospitality, Valencia College|
|Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign|
Featured above are two logos I designed using Adobe Illustrator. The first is the overall logo for the theme park. It features a simple sans-serif font with the addition of an eagle silhouette on the top right. The “M” also features two snow-capped mountains, adding to the excitement when reading “Eagle Mountain”.
The second logo is a simple logo used for the fictional company “Eagle Adventure Entertainment, LLC”. It features the same font and eagle silhouette.
Park Map Layout
Map Cover: The map cover features a girl standing on top of a mountain, reinforcing the tag line of the park “Live the Adventure of an Eagle”. This photo was taken during a trip to the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire. The photo was traced using Illustrator and edited with textures in Photoshop.
Right Columns: This section instantly draws excitement with the phrase “Adventure is out there... calling for you!”. It also showcases several photos of sights and experiences you’ll encounter when visiting the park. The background includes patterns of trees and leaves, adding to the overall adventure theme.
Left Columns: The far left column showcases the latest happenings in the park for 2014 as well as various park tips and tricks. The back column features various sponsor logos and a reminder to recycle the park map.
